Cool Playmini Exhaust Questions

Hi guys,

Thinking of getting a playmini exhaust instead of stock 04 MCS.

Issues I have:

1. Price (nothing on website)
2. How many miles have people run on it before needing replacement?
3. How many miles have people run on the stock zorst before it needs replacement?
4. How's the motorway drone?

Cheers all!

Yup seen it cheers, but the only one it answers is the motorway drone!

Has anyone had one for long enough?

Cheers

Id say the stock would last 50-55k miles, same with the playmini, depends massively on the road condition and age, tho the sound gets better the more miles you do!
Motorway drone depends which mid pipe you choose!

No you have to buy the mid pipe with it, silenced or unsilenced.

get silenced one if ure worried about any drone at all, more expensive tho!

does silenced lose you the exhaust sound at lower revs or is its purpose solely to make motorways more pleasant?

Yeh motorways more pleasant, over 3K revs the unsilenced starts to make a deeper rumble! Its nice at low revs, rumbles and pops, especially on the S.

Id get either this or miltek!

Roland from GT Tuning tested the Scorpian exhaust which I believe is the same as PlayMini and it had more back pressure than stock = you lose performance. Just thought I'd let you knwo.

It was acceptable in the 80's

Playmini isnt the same but it may well get the same results as the scorpian i dont know. Its definately nothing you can sense when your driving imo.

Cant see there being much performance change either good or bad until you start removing cats etc.

Did the car feel slower after u'd fitted it?

Yeh i think at the end of the day, unless your trying to extract the maximum amount of performance out of your car, a cat back exhaust aint gonna make a massive difference, your basically buy it for a more throahtier exhaust note and a few more hp if any.

about 2-3000 miles, 250GBPish , mines on the cooper tho, its not a patch on the cooper s one mainly because of the pop and cackle you can get on the S, id say the majority of people that buy cat backs buy it for that. Personally id buy one any really tho, ther all pretty good, miltek and playmini my favs. Keep your old exhaust just in case you feel you want to but the stocker back which i doubt very much!
No problems with servicing with me, actually gave me free fluid change when i shudv paid for it! Lol
