Velvet Cooper Additional Horses power vs value for money

I am not sure that have anyone think or make some calculation about your own modification vs. increase in horse power?

Based on my simple calculation gives, that for every additional horse power cost = aprx USD$60 per one additional horse power! Currently my MINI Coopers S 2005 got 210hrp

what I did..

15% Alta Pulley + installation 210.00
CAI Alta with hose 294.00
Exhaust Alta 1,000.00
Ignition Upgrade 350.00
JCW Fuel Injectors + ECU upgrade 550.0

What is your?

£20 (34USD) per a BHP based on a 220 BHP Package from GTT http://www.gtt.uk.com/packages.asp

That exhaust looked mighty expensive! Unless its a full exhaust manifold aswell.

You will find actual horses (not mental ones or wishful thinking ones) will run at about USD 100 apiece.

Hi,

You may find that the first 20/30 bhp are the cheapest, after that it is all get pretty expensive, Unless you have a Cooper and it is just expensive from the start, which is a double edged sword.....

I am very partial to ponies that are certified by BMW engineers.....I find they tend to be somewhat bigger than most. On the other hand, there are very valid performance enhancements for the engine, which I do use, I just do not bother to measure other than with time on a track.
