Yellow Cooper Induction shield

Has anyone found an induction kit heat shield for the ONE and Cooper yet.

I have a foam induction kit but have been advised to shield it somehow.

I did think about modifying the standard filter box to accommodate it.

Cooper / One Intakes with full or partial heat shields:Don't know of any generic heat shields.

Doubt if adding a heat shield will make that much difference horsepower wise

The post originator is NOT asking about a heat shield for an "S" intake

The guy who tuned my car yesterday has done test's and said that an un shielded induction kit can lose you as much as 8 bhp and if unshielded better to stay with standard filter box and upgrade panel filter.

Ask to see proof

You'd be lucky to get 8 HP from intake

Lots of people are running a HAI (unshield K&N filter hooked up directly to throttle body) in their MCS and I haven't read any reports of "lost" horsepower ...

So that means you'll be ditching your intake for a shielded one or going back to the stock intake with an upgraded panel filter?

I dont sell filters, so have no need to say any different Miniac

We have run many tests on the Minis, and the problem with open filters in the Mini's small engine bay, is that is sucks in more hot air, which burns MUCH less efficiently than cold air.
