Have been pondering on whether it's possible to effectively re-map my cars ecu bearing in mind that i have had the jcw works sound kit fitted,of which i believe they do a partial re-map for taking into account the modified intake and exhaust system has any one had any experience on this matter?? or thoughts even!

Yep can be modded. things that can get modded are things like spark timings and fuel injection.

Not quite sure what would be your reasoning for doing this? I would be interested in hearing why?

Even though there are ways in gaining more HP with other mods ( I have tried! ), one good reason for the Sound Kit is keeping your warrenty valid. You wuold of course invalidate it with another remap!

Before I had my Sound Kit fitted I was running mine with a chip and induction kit. To be honest the car with the Sound Kit feels about the same if not better.

Personally IMO, I would leave well alone.
