I havent used or needed to use my MTH cartune software since november, but i just got a new file and tried to upload it!

Problem is soon as i try to run cartune, an error box with the version no at the top, comes up saying, 'Order from MTH a Update please' and thats it doesnt even run the program

What is happening??????

hmmm bugger!! looked at their web too, i didnt have my user details for their web to see if there was a new program there

Cartune software only lasts till the end of the year you bought it, and then you have to e-mail Volker for the new version. It's free, just a PITA. Hope MTH never go bust or we are all in trouble!!!

what they dont know wont hurt them!! its an OEM JCW pulley anyways so stealth as you like!!!

Thanks for that, do you think re-installing it might work??

nah i wussed out of it!!! for the sake of few quid and piece of mind lohen are doing it for me, as they are doing the full S/C as well

Cartune seems to put a marker on your computer when it "expires". If you then put the clock back it still doesn't work, even if you reinstall it.
I think to try this trick you would have to set your clock to your cartune install date EVERY time you switch on and essentially keep it like that so that Cartune can never see past the end of the year, once it puts that marker on your PC it's dead. This is also a PITA, but who knows - one day a new version of cartune may not be available, you may then have to install your old version of Cartune on a different PC with a suitably set date and leave it like that!!

I think Si would send you a copy of cartune if you are having problems with a response from MTH. To be honest they sent mine by return e-mail. You can always PM Si and ask. Thinking about it, I guess any current version will do as you buy the serial number for the car not the software. So if you have any problems let me know.

Venox,

There is a thread over on NAM about this, i haq the same and just paid for the new software about £60 i think because i needed more updates anaway!

What i saw on NAM is that the MTH software runs out after 1yr and they only way to sort it is speak to volker who sends you the new version, but if your desperate then its a paying job im affraid!

I will try to find the thread now mate!
