Question PlayMini Cooper S Exhaust

Hi Guys,

I'm in a bit of a dilemma about which exhaust to put on my Cooper S (I know, the same old question!).

I have a Mini One also with JCW software on it and it has had a PlayMini exhaust without the silenced link pipe for about the last 30k miles. It sounds amazing - I've honestly never heard a better sounding Mini. I just love it!

Now I want to put a catback system on my S, along with a GTT intake. I am thinking about a PlayMini system as I'm so pleased with mine already, but they aren't talked about that much on here and I was wondering if they weren't considered too highly?

I want my S to have a real rumble, with a howl at the top end. But I do alot of motorway driving, so it can't be too loud. The Playmini system on my One is no louder than stock when cruising on the motorway.

It's very difficult buying an exhaust when you can't hear what they sound like!

Thanks....

Well the PlayMini Catback for MCS isnt a quiet system. I think you should be looking at the GTT re-route pipe or the Milltek system. which will give you the same performace and "COMFY"..........

had the Playmini cat back on my last MCS, used to do a lot of motorway driving, its loud, but its fun

Miltek is a nice system, worth looking at, I think its a bit quieter, this time I went JCW myself

There is a fit guide all about the Playmini system, with sound clip on here, I'm sure if you search for it you can find it

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

Just fitted a Milltek cat back.

I do alot of motorway driving myself - Noise wise is the pretty much the same as standard. Deeper sound when town driving.

hope this helps

Got the Play MINI exhuast myself, and its not quiet on the motorways. Takes a little getting used to, but having had some miles now think its great

Please bare in mind though, an S will sound nothing like a Cooper due to the supercharger whine

Ok guys, thanks for all the feedback. I think I might take the plunge with a PlayMini, as although I don't want it too loud if the Miltek is roughly the same as stock then its certainly not loud enough!

I know it's not going to sound the same as a Cooper - I'm loving the supercharger whine! I'll let you all know which one I go for, but if anyone else has anything else to say then I'm all ears...

Thanks again!

Have you seen this thread from Roland @ GTT?

The PlayMini performs worst of all of the exhausts, it depends whether you are bothered about performance or just sound

edit: PlayMini and Scorpian are one-in-the-same incase you were confused after looking @ Roland's thread

I have a Milltek Cooper S exhaust on my Mini One. It sounds really good especially after its been on for a while.

I got it for £380, which was the cheapest I could find from http://www.xsperformance.co.uk/shop/...cPath=3_44_229
