England JCW Exhaust - rattle

Hi all.

I have an annoying rattle in my JCW exhaust settup (manifold etc.)

On low revs it vibrates like there is a loose something-or-other.

I'ev checked the skid plate at the rear as this was the initial culprit, but the noise, to a lesser degree still exists.

Does anybody have any experience of this?

Hopping to get under the car and check for loose items this weekend !!!

Could be the baffles have come loose in one of the silencers. Happened to my JCW exhaust albeit on my Cooper not an S.

It was acceptable in the 80's

Is it easily fixable? I have what sounds like the same problem, trouble is, it wasn't fitted by the dealer...

same here. mine was fitted by JCW so it'd mean a 5 hr journey at min just to get there.

bit poor if a baffle works loose internally - are they not welded?

and that was within the 1 year waranty period yes?

If i was to pay for it, how much would it be dya reckon. (i have the 210 back box version -slightly bigger than the 200 version or the 210 upgrade version)

England Fix

So what is the fix for a loose baffle in an exhaust system that costs £500.

Poor show if it is a fuill part replacement, but surely not. ANy comments?

The rattle is really getting on my nerves now!!! it's at about 2000 revs in 1st - 4th...

The silencer is welded together so no choice but to replace it.

It was acceptable in the 80's
