Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a JCW exhaust in a couple of months time, but I dont know how to get hold of one? I spoke to a John Cooper rep and he said I cant purchase the exhaust on its own, due to their contract with bmw mini. I thought you could now though?- guess not!

How did people go about getting them?

Is product JCM506B (5th one down) the normal JCW exhaust.? Or is it the motorsport one?

Motorsport - but the nly things missing appear to be:
a. the plate saying JCW;
b. the constriction just before the exhaust splits to go to the 2 backboxes that the JCW has to clear the structural reinforcment on the convertible.

you can buy the normal JCW exhaust, you just need to know a friendly dealer

Ye.. thats correct. i pushed my dealer a bit and he got me one - even though first he said i need the whole JCW kit.

Mike, did you ever go to that Malvern Run meet you were talking about in that thread posted above?

Much of a sound difference from the other standard JCW exhaust?

(The price of the motorsport one looks good. Also being made by john cooper even if it is from the motorsport section- reassures me more regarding getting a non standard exhaust!)

not much but it sounds nicer. Got mine on Ebay was brand new and was a bit of a bargain compared to some of the prices people were paying.

When you say exhaust you mean from the engine till the end? or just the rear part?

Best looking exhaust tips but not the best performance, its got that stupid flat section of pipe for convertibles.
