Bluefin - Spark Plugs

Hi All,

Need some information. I'm looking at doing the Bluefin ecu remap and also changing the oem panel filter to a pipercross one on my Mini One. Do I need to change the spark plugs and spark leads or will it run fine with the oem ones?

Advice will be appreciated.

nah. the stockies are just fine. I daresay you will love the remap. The panel filter won't really do much IMO, why not go with an entire intake ?

dont really want the sound to be too overpowering ... i did think about getting one (pipercross viper) but i'd rather keep things discreet and simple. Wouldnt you have to get the exhaust done also to make use of the intake?

Anyway, thanks for the info!

oh ok, that's understandable. However, bear in mind that the intake only gets loud when you want it to be, depending on how much throttle you give it.

You don't have to get an exhaust unless you want to. Cat-back exhausts don't really do much, they just make a nice noise, and usually are nice to look at Even intakes can sometimes make no or even less power. They sound nice though....

The best thing you can do on a One is the chip by far. You'll be faster than a stock cooper for a couple hundred pounds....makes it nicer to drive too. Better response, more smooth, more low end torque, and apparently it pulls much harder all the way to 7000 rpm
