Offline | the results of changing the flywheel to a lightweight one and the clutch to a lightweight kevlar-- The clutch action is lighter than stock, there is no noise/vibrations,the car (Mini ONE) has a lot better pickup and revs more freely especially below the 4000 rpm mark, the clutch when it reaches the biting point now BITES,gone is that wooley/soggy feel the power comes in instantly.the car now performs like a cooper without having been remapped, but cleaner acceleration lower down the rev range I would estimate the equivalent gain of about 13-15 bhp (the owner has our twin exit exhaust +10 bhp) The added plus is the clutch will outlast the standard clutch by many thousands of miles. next week we are fitting a Tilton clutch/flywheel to a cooper S. I will post up some pictures if there is any interest seeing in this -Adam |
