Hi there
Im new to mini2.com and at the moment finding it hard to find my way around the site so if this question is in the wrong place I do apologise. I have a 53 210 Works and im concidering upgrading it to 225bhp by John Cooper at a cost of £1497.31 fitted can anyone advise me on this upgrade or even if I should have it done? the guys there say it makes a remarcable difference but then they would I look forward to anyones reply thanks

Check this thread out, it follows Pete's quest along the path of the JCG 225 conversion, before getting a Flywheel, Racing Clutch Quaiffe LSD and all sorts of other goodies fitted. Will make for a good read im sure plus there is a video of Pete's car after the conversion.

I got the chance to take out Mike Cooper's 225bhp race car out on the road with a development brake kit, racing clutch, flywheel and quaiffe LSD and can honestly say that whilst a bit more advanced than just the conversion, it was absolutely amazing! To play Devil's advocate a little you might want to check out GTT's offerings to boost the output of works car. Do a search for 'Works GT' and a great write up by Tony. That should provide you with loads of info to help make your decision. Good luck and im sure you'll love it whatever upgrades you go for!
