Gutting the cat ..can be picked up with the sniffer emission!! Yes you can install O2 for the computer... however, like I said, you might not pass a sniffer EM test!!

Header install usually doesnt have cats, or supply a "Bypass" pipe to bypass the cats..yes??

Just me..............................

It was going to be a temp mod until i could afford a new cat. Yes it would fail an MOT test, as it's called over here, but this test is only once a year.
As it happens i bought an exhaust manifold and cat section from a '06 Cooper-s that had only done 1,000miles.

Superb price too!! ...Result.

Backpressure is less important on the cooper and one...its the supercharger that its more important on.

My cat on the S was shot at the last MOT and the car still passed (I had no cat cells in it!) ... unless your on a stupid tune the car will probably pss as the emissions on closed loop fueling on the MINI (thats an AF of around 14.2 i think) is quite lean so thats probably why it manages to go through???!
