Offline | B&M short-shift on a JCW MCS I know there are problems with installing the B&M short-shifter with a Milltek exhaust, but what about a JCW MCS (2006)? Will I be able to fit my B&M without any problems? ![]() |

| Eat my dust. | What's the reason for suspecting it won't fit the JWC? Mini Sport have slashed the price of their own "short shift kit" (£100 down to less than £50) which I've been considering, although I never considered that it might not fit for some reason. Now driving a 2006 Brabus Roadster Coupe PW/B Cooper S Works has gone to its new home! |

Offline | With the B&M short shift for the later model cars the lever is much lower in the car, which means that the guard which protects the shift mechanism is also much lower meaning that an exhaust system with a centre resonator gets in the way, i know that this is the case for the JCW and Milltek, because I have had both exhaust on my car... A system with no front resonator or a small front resonator such as the Magnaflow shouldn't be a problem... Cheers JonnyC ![]() |

Offline | Does the JCW in the UK have the center ressy? I know we get it over here (I've cut mine out ), but I was under the impression in the UK it was not there...?? |

Offline | If I put an unsilenced front section on my JCW, what sort of sound increase are we talking? I did think it sounded a BIT quiet when I test-drove it (quieter than my Milltek on my Cooper), but wouldn't want it all that much louder, and certainly no louder/dronier on the motorway. Can you describe the difference jonny? ![]() |

Offline | Scottie: where did you have it fitted, and what do you have to tweak? How do BMW stand on the issue, say if you have a gearbox problem etc.? They could say it's putting extra strain on things... ![]() |
