Hello guys, i am on the edge of buing a decent second hand JCW exhaust system together with JCW manifold. Yesterday i got a call from the guy i am supposed to buy them and he told me because he wants to be honest with me, JCW manifold is 99% exactly the same with stock MCS manifold.

Is it true guys? shall i only install the JCW exhaust system and leave the manifold stock?

If he has the Motorsport manifold it is significantly different from the standard item. This is the only manifold JCW do.

If he had the JCW 200 or 210 conversion. The manifold IS the same as the stock unit. It is not touched in the conversion. 99% my ar53! Try 100% the same.

Pay the price of the exhaust. Don't pay any extra for the manifold. If he throws it in then that is good.

I confirm what Root Ginger has to say. Only buy the JCW manifold if it is a motorsport item, check it the picture below and if it doesnt look like it then it is not motorsport item.

Thanks guys. You have been very helpful, i have messaged him that i will only install the JCW exhaust system. Thanks for the advise, can you also tell me what to pay for a second hand JCW exhaust but in a very good condition? Any idea? he told me 420GBP including fitment and everything. what do you think?

420GBP is way over the top. You can buy a brand new Milltek for that which is a better exhaust. Personally I wouldn't pay over £150 - £200. It's not a lifetime exhaust, eventually the baffles will come loose inside as all JCW exhausts do.

3 to 4 year lifetime average I'd say.
