Powerflow Exhaust Question

Went into my local Powerflow dealer yesterday to enquire about a quad exit exhaust. However they told me they couldn't do nothing until they find out what is underneath the plastic protector next to the back box. I have an Aero Kit and basically the plastic sheet is flush with the bottom of the bumper. Does anyone know what it is for so i can get back to them.
