Question Milltek exhaust fitting

Hi peeps,

Yesterday i had a new milltek exhaust fitted to my S, it sounds spanktastic, but i
have a couple of questions.

I also have the mth tuner file on my car, do i need to get this updated straight away?
and will not having the map updated with a new mod on my car cause any worrying
problems.

Also, when I set off in my car there is quiet a bit of rattling at the back, sounds like
a tin can rattling, is this normal on a newly installed exhaust, the rattling stops once
the car is under way, its just when you first get going.

On a different subject, anyone from sheffield, do you know any garages in the area that
will fit a 15% reduction pulley, tried all my local garages and none of the would touch it.

many thanks for any help

I think you don't need an updated MTH tuner file just for the exhaust, better update the file when you get a 15% pulley.

Here's a long thread about my milltek, some had the same problem as you have. The tips might touch the edge of the black trim on the back. You can cut the trim away (or it wil melt away in time), or slide the milltek a bit to the front to create more space around the tips.

cheers berthill, goin to have a look now, when i've had a read through your thread.

Update

Just checked the exhaust, seems to have plenty of clearance around it, although it
is slightly angled to the left as you look at the car from the back, just taken it on another
test drive and it stills rattles like a tin can, so its going back to the garage that installed
it. After reading your thread berthill, i'm wondering if its one of the hangers?

cheers

Could be, may be they have forgotton to tighten one of the hangers or the heat shield is to close to the exhaust.
