| ///Michael | Milltek question... i'm having trouble deciding between milltek and alta exhaust. the only thing stopping me from getting a milltek is the fact that it is louder (though i like the sound better), but i don't want a loud drone when driving on the highway. i doubt theres an in car milltek video on here...because i haven't found it. if anyone has one, or links to one, that would be greatly appreciated. or maybe if you could answer this question: how loud is the milltek from in the car when cruising. not really in dB, but just...is it too loud? hope that isn't too confusing... thanks ![]() Happily Motored ![]() |

| Summer Splasher | I love mine - and I have the Milltek header, also, which should make for louder interior noise level. I drove from connecticut to North Carolina in less than one day, and it was great ! No drone for me! Course, I think to get a drone, you have to remain on a steady rpm for quite a while. I don't drive like that, so no worries! Vary speed = no drone. |

Offline | Hi there, I have the milltek cat back fitted and love it. Not to loud when round town but hit the gas and it sounds great. Also sounds nice when engine is idling, like a burbling noise. I haven't found it too loud when motorway cruising. When you have had it fitted for about a month or so it seems to sound even better, the exhaust popping noises are greatly improved. Going to get the GTT header and sports CAT next should really sound good then. Good luck which ever way you choose to go. Jamie ![]() |

Offline | My Milltek is fantastic - sounds great, great power and torque increase. I hear the single sided systems such as the alta are tough to get to hang right, so centering it in the valence cutout will be annoying. Dunno if that sorta thing bothers you. 2005 DS/B MCS |

Offline | You didn't look very hard did you? No, you didn't. ![]() Apart from that, I've had a Milltek cat-back on my car for about a year now and it doesn't drone at all. And nor would I call it too noisy. In fact from what I've heard (internet clips only) the ALTA one would be noiser I would have thought. ![]() |

| Master of the Dark Arts.. | I just fitted the Milltek cat-back on my MCS, and I LOVE it! Its nice and quiet if you just shift early, but open it up, and it sounds great, and no droning at normal highway speeds! GET IT! From the dark side of VWAG... ![]() '03 MCS EB/W |

Offline | There are a number of videos on the Milltek site: http://www.millteksport.com/exhaust....?variantid=176 that should give you a sense of the sound of their exhaust |
