HI STEVE, the first pulley was fitted by minispeed it was in with the engine tune , it was a Alta pulley. i was driving the car when the supercharger belt broke . it snapped the belt tensioner. and crank pulley was smashed to bits £350 worth of parts. not happy. so i fitted a new Alta pulley come loose twice . so i fitted a new gtt pulley . the gtt pulley is the best piece of engineering i have seen. i fitted it 3000 miles later . it had come loose it must have been slipping for a few miles . it had taken a few thou off the end of the shaft. i tried to fit the std pulley it would not tighten the end of the shaft was now to small for the pulley. in desperation i applied liquid metal, it worked thank god i will never do that again ! thanks Steve and good luck .

Gary, by Pulley do you mean the Supercharger one, or Crank one?

you will have no warranty even if it didnt come loose and something else went wrong with your engine as i found out when my camshaft snapped and i only had a 15% reduction pulley fitted

GTT crank pully here, fitted by the man Roland. No vibration and not come loose.

Mecanically speaking if fitted correctly & balanced correctly why would it come loose?

bad forge ? fitted torqued ,just figure without some kind of damper the engine's gonna present some vibes. but all these loosenings and such were totally unexpected.

dont know what the cause was
BMW wouldnt cover it on warranty cos of me having a 15% reduction pulley fitted , that voided the warranty on the whole engine and they wanted £5500 to replace the engine

Angry

see in mass. it's covered . the only thing they wouldn't cover is the s/c as it has been directly modified by the 15% pulley (which hasn't arrived yet due to webb taking my order but failing to mention they were going on vacation)!!!!!
