hey guys. im new to the MINI world. i just got my 2004 mini cooper S in june and every so often, when i'm idling, the engine starts shaking. one time when it did it, i tried to give it gas and it stalled. i was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. help please?

The only time it does this on mine is when I'm driving slowly up a hill attempting to use clutch control, and I don't give it enough revs? Never stalled it though, as you said just increase the revs to avoid potentially stalling.

it doesnt shake like its about to stall, its a very intense shaking that lasts about 10 seconds. at first i thought it was bad gas, but ive gone through two tanks of gas and it still does it. any ideas?

normal ...they all do it .just blip the throttle/.
