EXTRA 20bhp Hamann exhaust for cooper S...

Just got this email from Hamann, germany:
------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Alex,

thank you for your e-mail.
We're sorry, but we don't do side skirts for the MINI COOPER S.
As you can see on our homepage we have developed a new front spoiler
for the Cooper S as well as a new rear diffuser.
These parts are wright know in development and will be available in approx.
4-6 weeks.
Also in approx. 4 weeks our brand new sport exhaust system for the new
COOPER S will be available were we get additional 20 hp !
It consists of:
sport exhaust manifold
sport steel catalytics
sport rear muffler

------------------------------------------------------------

This is great news! Here is what the exhaust looks like! Personally I prefer it when the exhaust is on the right, but I suppose this will have to do, as Hamann confirmed to me that they wont move it to the right!

About £300, maybe more...

Disdis,

I ordered the Hamann exhaust for my cooper, before deciding I was gonna get an S. I have now cancelled my order so I can fit this meanie on my S. The cooper exhaust was £250 plus fitting, so anything upto £350 i suppose.

It may not be a bargain, but money well spent!

Alex.

That's a Hamann wheel. According to the distributor here, it's the 17inch version pictured. 215/40/17. Go check out their website. It's all there. A word of warning though, it is a very heavy wheel. 11.5kg.

No, he's a guy in Melbourne, Darren Parker. Can't remember his company's name. He has been the distributor for over 4 years now. There was none before him.

What a coincidence! Actually most of the time I wash my own car, but lately I have had no time to do it. I am very particular with my car wash, and these guys are very good. Used to bring my other cars there all the time. Glad your dad liked it. Actually it's funny, my dad has always complaint about my cars, but he likes this one.

I have been away, so haven't spoken to Darren. Will try calling him on Monday. He is not always easy to get either. The more I drive this car, the more I think it would just be perfect with a few more ponies. I think we will all need to put our collective heads together and see what alternatives there are to JCW. I am keeping a close eye on the Digi-Tech mod on Targa's car in New Zealand. They sound promising.
