England Pipercross induction kit

I've now just fitted the pipercross cone induction kit, which i think i've fitted ok! it seems secure enough and makes a lovely noise! thing is it came with an cold air intake and some round chrome part! the instructions seem very sparse on how to fit this, i'm stumped a bit! do i need to fit it or is it not important to fit it? if so how do i fit it? also how do you use the air filter dirt retention additive? cos it doesn't say. Many thanks for your help and support.

This is sounding like you've got the Viper induction kit? If so, I've got some photo's in my gallery that may help with how to run the cold air induction pipework from the ram air pipe...

You just spray a little of the air filter oil onto the outside of the air filter foam, if you touch it, it's a little sticky, which is how it works. Just don't over-spray the foam with oil, it just needs a light covering.
