Pulley puller rental?

Hi Folks

Just wondered if any of you have bought a puller for the pulley and either care to sell it, or rent it out!?!?

Yeh, saw that rental offer...assuming you buy the puller from them...

I bought a new Alta pulley from the states...cost £47 all in.... great deal! It claims it does not need a shorter belt.. which is strange as many 15% pulleys are supplied with one. One retailler said it was an easy way to hike the price of the pulley and many owners like the idea of fitting "uprated" parts.. even a simple belt....!

I have an assortment of pullers... so guess I will use a bearing splitter to grab the std one. Should not be a big deal....

Anyone - how tight are the pulleys as std? Is it two heaves and a grunt or much tighter than that!?!?

...did the engine rise up easily when jacked?

What about hoses and drive shafts, loom etc etc? Were there any tight areas/items?

webbs' got a how =to on his site it's pretty thorough. the engine only comes up enough to clear the puller. the how=to will point out all the spots to look out for . don't fear it's easy!!!just do torque all mounts when done so you don't get engine shake.
