Offline | Anyone built a heatshield for a K&N filter in a Cooper? I installed a K&N filter in my Cooper. I am aware of the adverse effects that hot air can bring to the car's performance. I am trying to design and build a heatshield that a) blocks hot air and b) has an opening for a tube that will come directly from the original cold air intake next to the radiator. Has anyone tried this before or does anyone have a design sheet that can be used for this shield. I am planning on using precision cut aluminum. These are pics of the filter as now fitted ![]() ![]() Cheers!! MEXICAN MINI Maniac "As we have seen, you can be at high "tenth values" without going over 50 m.p.h."
