Im fitting a ALTA CAI kit do i have to chnge my MTH software?

Im fitting an Alta cool air induction kit to my cooper s which is remapped with MTH but not mapped to have a induction kit,will i have to get it upgraded?Also how easy is it to fit a Alta induction kit.
