Scotland Milltek + GTT manifold = awsome!!

Hello all!

Iv had these items for a while now but iv not long had them fitted as i had other things to take care of! so last week my mates and i decided to fit my milltek exhaust and re fit my GTT manifold that had been off the car since i had warrenty work done! Anyway it didnt take long and there were no real problems! iv always been a bit wary of fitting the milltek exhaust together with a manifold as i had heard so much horror stories about the noise been far too loud etc!

Well i have to say im absolutely delighted with them both together! the car sounds so so good now! and it feels quicker lower down, more toque! my mates say when i pass them it sounds like a racing car not a mini! before anyone says its not a sound you would hear from a nova or anything, its a totally unique sound and its amazing lol iv never been a fan of really loud exhausts, so the good thing about this one is you can puddle along through town in the lower revs and you can hardly hear it, but when you open the car up it sounds fantastic!

ill try and get a clip of it for everyone! i would recomend both items! i cant comment on what the exhaust is like without the manifold but i had the manifold on alone and it was really good even by itself! but together i love them!

Willie

Looking forward to the soundclip mate. I've always been tempted by a GTT manifold, but at the same time wary it'd be too loud!

Yup, booked in for GTT220 and Roland's new fancy strut brace at the same time. The 220 kit, plus my Milltek cat-back and GRS intercooler should make it around 230bhp I'm hoping.

Be interested to know what you think of the GT220 kit as thats next on my list once the GRS IC arrives :-).

I was planning on waiting until early next year but just had an insurance quote from Greenlight stating that my insurance only goes up by £42 a year with the GT220 kit fitted ....

Ditto - waiting for my GRS - then fitting my AP BBK and getting wheels at the same time. Next thing after that will be Milltek and GTT220

As I have the GTT Level 1 stuff for a MCS JCW, GTT Manifold fillted plus a GTT Strut brace and a GRS intercooler on the way I think I am heading for some of those sweet looking Porche BBK from Roland next.

GTT manifold with JCW exhaust sounds great. Many have said it sounds more like a race car and less like a MINI.

Some vids

Sorry for the delay in getting these vids up folks! These are vids of me driving my car up the 1/4 mile.

vids - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

vids - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

They are not the best quality, and the second vid takes ages to get started cos there was some mucking about at the lights. so if you are not very patient dont watch the 2nd one or just skip it to about 30 secs in.

The first clip is against a Seat Leon Cupra R, the second clip is agianst an RS Turbo, and the third clip is against a new style Golf 2ltr Turbo.

Was the cupra chipped - have you seen the 300bhp "Badger" ?

Some nice starts there though. I plan to take my 260 to the 1/4 in the new year. I need to practice cold starts though as i don't want to blow the clutch.

Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing...
