Offline | Hi Guys, we can do GTT220's etc on a Saturday morning. also crank pulleys with GTT220's are no problem either. We always use 2 technicians at the same time on most jobs of this type (sometines 3 ). For cars booked in we are happy to open at 8am or even 7.30 am instead of 9 if required. I worked on someones car to 1am in the morning once; as he was going on holiday the next day.Best Regards Roland GT Tuning ![]() |

| Just enjoy it! | I went on last night and found the thread after reading about yours. Looks the business. I am in such a dilema as to weather to get work done on the car or not. If I had a hard top I would for sure but as a convertible I am just not sure its the right thing to do! My list is something like this. GTT220 plus exhaust reroute pipe or full 230 job. Strutt brace upper and lower (when available) new wheels Oz Ultraleggeras with R888's I'm undecided about any other suspension work and I'm undecided about a big brake kit. The braided hoses and upgraded discs and pads have helped and I think will do me for the time being. The other issue with my car is the seats. I'd like to fit recaro's or works seats but would want them trimed in blue leather with orange stitching to match which is a bit of a problem! |

Offline | Weve fitted a lot of GTT 220-230's to the Cabriolet and at least two GTT260's , The GTT Strutbrace should make even more difference to your softtop than the hardtop. There is also not one but TWO lower chassis braces coming out within the next month. So you can fit the complete trilogy if you want to. All 3 GTT Braces will fit Cabriolet and Hardtop. Offline | I have had the GTT 230 conversion on a MCS Convertible for around 18 months now and I always have a smile on my face when driving the car, it's superb. Just do as much as you can reasonably afford and enjoy yourself. Alan. |

Offline | As you have the convertible which has more flex than the tin top and is also heavier I would say it is the right thing to do However I don't know your full circumstances nor am I going to ask you to reveal them all here. If you intend keeping the car for a while then I can highly recommend having the work done. It has made a huge difference to the car in daily use. I'm not talking about flooring it everywhere, but things like when you're in traffic and sometimes you'd need to drop a gear to get going again, now you can trundle along with everyone and then when the traffic starts to move again, just accelerate and actually get somewhere instead of having that annoying delay/lag. The car is just so much more driveable now and feels better at setting off from a dead stop too ![]() I'm looking forward to this weekend to get out and have a proper play ![]() |

Offline | As per the picture is the better way, and the way we would route it if dismantled . (we dont touch this when fitting intercoolers etc) only if manifold & head etc are coming off. The heat is probably from the hose-it does get very hot. Best Regards Roland GTT ![]() |
