Sounds good but what does it actually do.

I suspect it makes the supercharger run faster without having to go down to a -19% pulley while retaining the 17% pulley's longer belt contact length therefore reducing belt slip?

What sort of power increase would this provide on a GTT230?
Would you require a shorter belt than GTT fit with the GTT230 kit?
Is it a job you can tackle yourself?

TBH I suspect that you would need the gear to take the tension off the belt and Roland made that up himself so I suspect it's a visit to Blanford job.

What are the costs for this mod?

Roland, I am interested to know your thoughts on the above please, could be my next project.

Alan.

Defo a visit to Blandford is in order I'm afraid mate - this is the kind of job that's best done whilst changing the supercharger pulley, hence why I went for the crank pulley at the same time as GTT 220.

In fairly simple terms, a lightweight crank pulley has less rotating mass which allows the engine to spin more freely so you can accelerate more quickly. The +1% version is slightly larger so this also spins the supercharger faster giving you slightly more BHP.

Quote below from the GTT website
Quote:
The stock item weighs in at around 7 pounds .The GTT item weighs just one pound! The benefits are similar to those experienced with lighter flywheels: i.e. better throttle response and free revving. However both unit cost and fitting costs/time are considerably less than those associated with lightweight flywheels.

Roland, am I on commission yet with these
