Sounds to me that you are either installing it incorrectly or the can is not suited for a MINI. All installation pictures show the can vertically and i think that horizontal installation would cause it to malfunction.

Cheers,
CSW.

Oil catch can

I bought the can from autobarn about a year ago but have never got around to installing it. If it is possible to fit the can horizontal it fit's perfectly. Could i get feedback from Roland and some of the others who have a great knowledge in this kind of equiptment, a oil catch can simply has two connections in it for oil to run into surely turning it on it's side won't hurt, only problem i see is the pipe on the side where you can see how much oil is in the can won't work but it should still serve it's pupose.

Thanks guy, i'm still learning about my engine so any help of this kind would be fantastic.

That's not a good idea.
Here's one reason.
If the can gets any quantity of oil in it during cornering there is a real possiblility of just sucking the oil back out. Not what you want to do.

Which OCC do you have?
Unless the can is seriously too long there are other mounting methods that will let you install it properly.

I would like know how the oil catch can works. If is there just two hoses and empty space or it is anything inside of the OCC.

If i will see the pic of the inside of oil catch can i will know how it works.

bye
