I think everyone is missing the first part of this thread which Tonyt3 pasted the link to so you can understand the context of the original offer.

Its a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is we all work together as a team.....

There wont be any comments from Superchips, as they are not sponsors of mini2 so aren't aloud to comment. Lohen have commented several months ago as you would know if you had bothered to read the other thread .

I think SC06GVK meant a response to the Blufin thread in the GP section where Lohen made the request for a development car - not the one about the engine problem, as you say that one had a response.

Hi Joogle,

Did LOHEN in fact ever give a response as to what caused the engine failure? I might be wrong but seemed to think they didn't. I can't remember what was exactly said now but wasn't it along the lines that they were looking into it but nothing ever came of it? Reason I'm asking is I changed my mind going for their tuning upgrade because I was non the wiser what caused the unfortunate engine failure.

Cheers

I wonder if Tinyt3 has an agenda against Lohen?

He also gets a little confused....in one of his (rather over-wordy) posts, he remarked:

"I would have gladly let them use the car as a 'beta' tester for some product that they may or may not already be developing."

and in another:

"I wouldnt loan mine to anyone, even BMW, to do this type of work on, no matter a tuners reputation."

And all this from someone who raves on about his car in a 'my **** is longer than yours' sort of way.....and then decides to sell it. Hardly rational, is he?

Are you implying he's longwinded & has a small crank pulley?

As i understand it, (having spoken to someone who has spoken to Lohen), the engine in question is in the hands of BMW. To my knowledge no explanation has been forth coming from BMW, hence why Lohen can't say what happened.

yeah thats whe nick told me last time i was up in havent been in for a few months but i suspect they know whats caused it now but i feel that it might not be a simple as Lohen not saying what happened as rember its not their engine and not their right to say its donw to the acctaul owner of the car and he might be keeping quite beacause it had nothing to do with either lohen and superchips and he came on here falmed them and would have to admit that he got it all wrong ??????????

confusion, madness and disorder .............. my work here is done

Folks read the other thread - the guy who was lending them his GP has withdrawn the offer - and he has already stated that it was superchips that were doing the development - Lohen just asked for a testbed vehicle.

Its a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is we all work together as a team.....
