I have an 05 one,acouple of weeks ago the engine warning light came on rang dealers went in and had new sensor on exaust fitted,was ok for aweek then light intermitantly was back on went in to dealers yesterday,they said sensor was faulty and would order new part,but later in day had phone call from them saying the fault needed ferther investigation and to book car in for a day,anyone had this or idea of problem.

-rather than guess,ask them what fault codes come up on a diagnostic check.

Has anything come of this Fudge? Over the last weekend the engine warning light came on and when I just contacted the dealer the service bloke said " have you checked the oil." When I told him the manual said it had to do with exhaust emissions he had no idea! He reckons they've never had a car in for that problem so we'll see how we go.. Typical here in Oz for the service people to have no real idea about MINIs..

I have the same problem on my 03 cooper oxy sensor replaced £260 light back on next day has been in 4 times for the same problem picked it up tonight and guess what light came on within 10 miles back in on friday!! will let you know ..............................next car will be a leon cupra!

car went back in,dealer could not find fault,seems it may have sorted itself as light has come on once but restarted car and was ok,been ok so far.
