Offline | Is this cable correct for MTH? Hi all, Is this cable (below) correct ISO9141 adapter for MTH remapping? Thanks KKL / VAG / ISO-9141 diagnostic cable serial -With this cable & the right software you are able to read/erase error codes and access all devices inside the car which are connected to the service bus. (Such as radio, airbag, dashboard, ABS, ECU, etc.) So it`s the perfect electronic diagnostic system to detect, locate and repair errors ! -Cable is based on certified ISO9141 Bus Transceivers and RS232 level shifters -Connects to PC via RS232 -Because of it`s 2 K-Line`s it can also communicate with devices on 2nd K-Line on very new cars like latest Audi model`s -Bi-Colour status LED`s for both K-Line`s -Comfortable cable length of 2,00 metres, shielded cable connection to the computer -works with VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda models from '95 and newer by adapter (seperately available) also to the 2x2 socket of older VAG vehicles usable -usable with Vag-Com, Cartune for BMW, Vehicle Explorer, Alfa8, ObdTacho -with suitable software also Chiptuning over OBD are possible -no software included |

Offline | Most ODB software requires a certain cable to go with it. I have MTH and AutoEnginuity, they do not work together. I also downloaded lots of software to tryout these interfaces, none of them did work. Could well be that the ODB interface MTH requires is made especially for MTH. You'll only know when you can try it with MTH's cartune, and then you probably have allready bought it. The manufacturer states it will work with Cartune which is from MTH, so if it doesn't work you can return it. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |

Offline | Thanks for the reply. This mean it will be able to connect to the car connector but whether the MTH Cartune software can download/upload file no body know except it being stated by the manufacturer. Is it worth taking the risk? The problem is I'm not from the same country of this product being sell so not sure will be able to return or not. I've emailed them but so far no reply. thanks |

| Lovin' every MINI of it! | Well, it "should" work but you never know. A great solution for cables that do work with MTH can be found at www.sensolutions.com. Also, you can order the cable from MTH-POWERCHIP : MTH MOTORENTECHNIK as well. The USB version is the one that I bought and it works great. Global Moderator ![]() |
