Offline | JCW Air Filter System I have just spoken with Sytner (Coventry) for a supply & fit price for a JCW Air Filter System (part # 13720391513). "Not possible on a standard MCS sir, you need the JCW engine upgrade to incorporate that part as the standard engine does not produce enough horsepower for it to work"! Oh Really !!!! Discuss. |

Offline | That is wrong...if you install the filter and associated wiring but NOT the upgraded injectors. Kits are available without the injectors...I have one on my MCS. I would not have any dealings with that dealer if they do not know that basic info. |

Offline | Are you referring to the entire JCW airbox? If so, whomever it was you spoke to needs a new vocation! Yes, the box can be added by itself; no, there are no negative performance issues or complications as a result; bonus - a little more 'humph' and a marvellous change in the noises! |

Offline | The part number you have is for the airbox only, without the injectors, so Sytner(Coventry) are obviously the sort of dealer you might want to avoid in future. You can fit this part to a standard MCS. ![]() |

Offline | Yes it fits. The dealer is telling porkies to make you buy the whole JCW kit. TBH I don't think they are supposed to sell you any JCW part unless you have a JCW chassis number, if you have that then its all good. Just get yourslef a JCW chassis number and then call in at anouther dealer and pick up the part and pay £X and then fit to the car. The box on own fits and works fine, I know several people who have fitted to non JCW cars. |

Offline | I certainly have a JCW box with no JCW kit. Fitted by another user here.......works brilliantly, added noise and i would say a bit smoother under acceleration. If you do get one though i recomend the GTT hybrid filter upgrade ![]() Checkmate mad owner |

Offline | Failing the chassis number, I shipped mine in from the US. UK -> USA -> UK; and still cheaper than buying direct including customs charges, work that one out ![]() |
