Intercooler

Right my next mod I'm thinking of is an uprated intercooler, plenty on here it seems go for the GRS,but i was steering towards the idea of a GTT one as Roland has done a great job so far for me....so there i was uhming and erring as to which one to plump for...taking into costs of both when i found this.... New Mini Product | Charge Cooler & Intercooler unit for CooperS

Anyone had any dealings with this company or even had one of these fitted as i am very confused now which one to go for....

Any advice appreciated

GRS all the way imo, dont think the cost of a charge cooler would be beneficial in a country like ours, cold most of the time!!

Somewhere like Aus then maybe!!

I was offered the chance of a GRS one, but I went with the GTT one as I wanted to keep the car all GTT
No complaints here with my decision

As for one of those charge cooler thingys, I have no idea about them

Yup we don't have very many hot summers here.....but was reading this part of the blurb

Extensive testing using a standard intercooler and this charge cooler unit on the CooperS engine has proved beyond doubt that this unit will provide an increase in power of approx 12%, and an increase in torque of approx 20%.

after reading several posts on here stating that uprated intercoolers do not increase power/torque,i was a bit intrigued

GRS or GTT

I don't think you'd be disappointed with either.
I have a (pre-owned) GTT intercooler, simply because it came along at the time I was thinking of getting one. It was easy to fit and has caused no problems.

I had seen reports of problems with the bellows coming off, because of the GTT floating design, when tackled as a DIY project. But using thicker silicone bellows (they came inclusive with my intercooler) seems to be the answer to this problem.

If I had to choose again, I would go by price and probably get a used one again.
