Just got myself a K&N Typhoon and I have a little question. There are 2 main intake pipes. One connects to the cone filter. The other inlet pipe doesnt seem to have a filter on it. What is the second pipe for and why does it not require a filter?

It connects to the bonnet scoop section. You have to mount it so that it directs cold air from the scoop onto the cone.

When you fit the filter I recommend a little mod Roland at GTT did for me, Just cut a couple off holes in the baffle behind the filter.
