Reference my post yesterday, regarding noise following power steering pump replacement.Took back to Dealer today they say it needs to have the exhaust manifold replaced. Any body have any comments on this?

sounds strange, as long as your not paying for it i wouldnt worry too much

Maybe he's just interested to know if anyone else has had the problem and what causes it...

Seems to be nock on effect there i had my column replaced they then replaced the steering pump no knockings from manifold

think things can go wrong when you start messing with stuff get a non bmw opinion

could be something else

i have lost my trust in their technicians (not mechanics and specialists) as everytime i take my car to them they break or damage something.

they don't care about your car as much as you do.

Had manifold changed all ok now no knocking ,nice and quiet all under warranty.
