GTT Manifold + Re route pipe + stock exhaust

Does anyone know how the following set would sound, and what (if any) power gains should be expected?

GTT Manifold
GTT Re-route pipe (eliminates one of the silencers)
Standard MCS exhaust (non JCW/Works)

Would this give a nice exhaust note, not too loud or boomy etc? Im really after something that sounds loud when accelerating but not loud when just cruising at normal speeds.

Thanks.

Just bought a Mini Cooper S !!

I have the reroute pipe and it sounds just about perfect....not over loud like the max car brigade and not a huge increase in noise whilst normal driving, but sounds nice when accelerating hard...
Also you would lose a bit of weight and there would be an increase of power.
Not sure if adding the GTT manifold would make much more noise or not

Do you just have the stock exhaust fitted, or have you got an aftermarket one?

How much louder would say it has made your car when accelerating, is there a real 'roar' or is it fairly subtle?

Thanks

Tonyt3, I do have the standard back box, its just the stock MCS exhaust, no modifications!!
I've read nothing but good reviews on the GTT manifold

I have the standard system with GTT reroute box and sound is superb, without being too loud. You can hear it plenty without it being too annoying.

Stock manifold / cat plus re-route pipe plus stock silencer works for me 306hp

Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02
It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it

Yes i have the stock MCS exhaust still,i would say its more subtle than some of the aftermarket exhaust systems you can get.It sounds like a normal MCS when you are driving around, but as i said if accelerating hard then there is a mild roar with an occasional pop ...spot on

Theres a lad down our street that has a fiesta all maxed up and you can hear him coming from 1/2 mile away...all show and no go

Haha cheers, that sounds like the right thing for me then. Think I'll get a re route pipe, see if I like it and then decide whether to buy the GTT manifold aswell at a later date!
