Offline | Playmini silenced or unsilenced? This is for anyone who's fitted a Playmini system to their ONE/Cooper. Did you go for the straight-through connecting pipe or the silenced one? I'm happy to have it nice and growly when driving hard but how do you find the overall noise at cruising speeds with your choice, can you hear the stereo/mobile OK?Cheers! What new bits? I didn't buy any new bits... |

Offline | Cool, thanks for the feedback guys. I love the sound of the clips on the PlayMini site and think I may have to put this at number one on my list now. ![]() What new bits? I didn't buy any new bits... |

Offline | A friend of mine has a Cooper with the Play Mini exhaust (no middle silencer) and it sounds superb. It has a very deep burble and sounds gorgeous when the throttle is blipped. In the car the sound is actually very refined. You can notice the change in pitch from the standard exhaust but it is certainly not intrusive. The exhaust tip did sit very close to the bumper when it was fitted though so he fitted a couple of small spacers to increase the gap. Just something to be aware of when fitting. He is extremely happy with it. Yatesy - if your reading this I'm on about yours mate. Dibby |

Offline | Mine is un-silenced... took about 6 months to bed in properly and really sound nice. Mine gets a hell of a lot louder when it gets really hot, after you have been on the motorway or on a long fast journey it is noticeably louder.... Having said that it is not a problem in the car, I quite like it actually.... the only thing I would say about it is that because my car is a 2001 I had to get a different bracket to hold the silencer at the rear, on the later cars they hang differently from the body. The posts that the center pipe mounts on were also to long and could touch on the sides of the tunnel and vibrate a bit (Play mini admitted that). Other than that all good! |
