| MINI2 Regular | I would also love to set up a group buy for MINI2, however, I have to wait until I become a sponsor. "Do or do not. There is no try." - Master Yoda |

Offline | As stated earlier I have done a group buy of 15 dampers for our NewMINIclub.nl from Texas Speedwerks. 4 have it installed already, including me. We all agree on the shifting as Shoe states, it is much smoother. Also seems like there is a better throttle response. The Engine Damper is defenitely worth it's money if you are a sporty driver. The whole car even feels better build. We all feel vibrations, S owners a bit more than Coopers. But with adding 4 (or 8) rubber O-rings on the bolts it is very acceptable and even adds to the sporty-feeling. I have set mine to a higher pre-tension. Mounting it with the Speedwerks brackets is a breeze, there is no need to support the engine. Looks also very nice. Coming sunday more of us will get the damper, I have even set up a second group buy for our Dutch NewMINIclub. Below my Texas Speedwerks Damper. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |

Offline | I wonder if there might be a tolerance difference because of RHD steering configuration. Have you contacted Texas Speedwerks? They are good people and very responsive to customer service. |

Offline | I just had the Texas Speedwerks damper installed on my GP this morning and I am very pleased with the build quality and the GP is even more fun to drive with the engine damper in place. As noted above, the people at Texas Speedwerks certainly have a reputation (here in Texas and beyond) for being responsive, knowledgeable and very helpful. '06 GP / '05 Corvette Z51 Coupe |

Offline | From the 20 that bought the damper in our two group buys from Texas there is one who found the vibrations a bit too much (GP), but he will still mount the damper on track days. We all found the damper a worthwile addition improving shifting a lot and making the whole car feel firmer. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |

Offline | Does anybody with one of these fitted have the GTT oil catch can? I'm interested in these dampers but the OCC sits in that same area, mounted where the ground strap goes to the chassis behind where the headlamp would be if bonnet were shut. I think the damper would pass through the area the pipes for the OCC travel unfortunately Any ideas? I would need one to fit early 03 build MCS... Thanks, Alex |

Offline | I had them both fitted, no problems. You only might need some loger hoses for the OCC. But I removed the OCC as there was little to no oil in it. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |

Offline | I have many pictures of the engine bay, but unfortunately not one with the damper and OCC. The OCC is mounted lower than the engine damper, only the hoses have to be put over the engine damper. I also turned the head of the OCC about half a turn so the exits of the OCC did not interfere with the damper. There's not much room so it's a tight fit. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |
