Offline | Need help (Turbo & Supercharger) dual-sequential charger Hi everyone... I come to you guys from another forum... I drive a 01 Acura Integra GSR I have plans for my car as for putting on a SuperCharger and to Turbo it. dual-sequential charging.. There is very little information on this subject but I have a friend that told me that Mini Cooper Racers seem to do it more often then anyone else. Can you point me to the right direction and or give me some information on this subject or point me to some forums about this, for it will be greatly appreciated!!!!! I wasnt too fond of Mini coopers before... but now that I know that they have systems like this.... its kind of opening my eyes towards them ![]() Thanks in advanced!!! |

| MINI2 Regular | i have never heard of acuras or hondas using twin charger. I do know someone with a large (i think vortex) supercharger on his 1.8 twin cam honda and it really shifts. what is your reason for wanting both? ![]() Viper Stripes| DPSM | Recaros | Miltek | Aero | GP Intercooler | JCW R56 Brakes | Alpina Dynamics |

| MINI2 Regular | im pretty sure that there is a new vw with a twin charger although i believe it is slightly different to using a supercharger and a turbo. I think the vw twincharger is both built into one unit, may this could be obtained and modified to fit. I think whatever route you choose it will involve customization ![]() Viper Stripes| DPSM | Recaros | Miltek | Aero | GP Intercooler | JCW R56 Brakes | Alpina Dynamics |

| MINI2 Master | twin charging is more common than people believe. Obviously there are the famous examples, such as the old Lancia Rally cars, and some lesser known examples like the Much mooted Micra Super turbo of the late 80's which was a 1.5 turbo supercharged. The real reason as you will know is to take advantage of low revs on the supercharger and high revs on the turbo. However with modern turbo's moving over to twin scroll turbo's ( such as the new Mini cooper s) from the TDi technology there is less need to do both. As you can have a turbo that changes its blade profiels to operate at two efficiency levels. As much as it may be a nice thing to have, i would say on a Mini it is not sensible seeing as the engine bay is so tight. I personally would choose one or the other, and yes turbo technology is a lot newer and efficient and you will be able to get better gains out of a turbo. However the supercharger power delivery is much nicer as its spread across the rev range. nice idea, but stick to one or the other. Also i know a few guys have done it to Fords in the UK, especially the RS turbo. Mainly due to the lagginess of the CVH engine. However the hardest part is getting the management to change between the both of them without affecting the delivery of power. |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | He is talking about an Integra and not a MINI though. I would also say that a twin scroll turbo would probably cost more than sourcing a super and turbocharger too. MINI USA have a twincharged drag car running rediculous BHP. Around 650 at the wheels the last time I looked. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

| MINI2 Master | but remember , i am not saying get a twin scroll turbo. But lag can seriously be altered by the mapping of the car. Get a good map and you can eliminate alot of it. And on Accura ( or NSX ) as we call them, it should be a lot less of a problem with lag. But check some of the jap sites out for detailed help on a jap subject |
