Tire/wheel combo weights

In previous threads, Russ and Olddad have posted very helpful information on various wheel specs and weights, I can now add a few tire/wheel combinations. All are mounted, air filled, weights.

Base: 15 in., seven hole, R81, standard Cooper wheel with the Continental 175/65 R 15 CH95 M+S tire. Weight: 30 lbs.

Auto-X set up: same 15 in. wheel with 205/50 ZR 15 Kumho Ecsta V700. Weight: 36 lbs.

Runflat: 16 in. 5 Star, R83, wheel with 195/55 R16 Dunlop SP Sport 3000A DSST. Weight: 45 lbs.

Previous info was that the R81 wheel weight alone is 12 lbs. and the R83 wheel alone is 20 lbs. I did not weigh them without tires.

How wide are those 15's? I want to put 215's on my 6.5inch rims but am not sure if it will fit or if it is recommended.

The 205 Kumhos are approx. 8.5 in. wide. There is about half an inch of static clearance from the inside of the front tire to the suspension. I have read conflicting reports about the 215s. Some say it will fit, others say it rubs- probably depends on your wheel offset and tire brand.

There's lots of autocrossers running 215's on the 6.5, easy fit. I'm running a few mm less offset, but there are people running stock 16's, both styles, with 215/40R16's.
Keep in mind though, every tire measures differently, BUT, the Hoosiers are unusually wide and we're running them.
