Offline | Show us your Exhausts Post Piccies of your Exhausts here Hi All, There are loads of threads on here about which exhausts are better than others but there are very few pictures of how these exhausts look when they are on the car. I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where we can all post pictures of our beautiful mini's showing off the various exhausts you've got fitted. Maybe add in a bit to say how satisfied your are with it as well. So come on guys, get your rears out!!!!! Here's mine... http://www.mini2.com/forum/attachmen...5&d=1165846261 Standard exhaust, no problems with it so far, decent sound for a standard exhaust but I could do with a more beefy tone. |

Online | Janspeed Exhaust I fitted a Janspeed system with the 2 31/2" slash cut pipes the noise was absolutely rediculous. That was without the optional straight through pipe. I contacted Janspeed & was told that he would look into the problem & get back to me. It never happened. If anyone is considering buying one for road use forget it. I now have the standard system fitted with the four branch manifold. |

Anyone had any difficultes fitting aftermaket pipes with the aero bumper? Anyone out there with a borla or other less common makes? Thanks again fellas. |

Offline | Well, I had an Alta exhaust. Had tons of problems getting it aligned and trying to make it stop rattling, to no avail. It sounds great though (when it's not rattling). Supposedly, they've fixed the alignment problems now, and my car could have just been defective or something. Alta exhaust crooked: This is the most recent device implemented to get the thing to stay straight: But I still ended up with a melted rear valence: So now it was time for a replacement since I had already spent way too many hours under the car and I wanted something that would just work. I ordered a Milltek. Here's the Milltek ready to be installed: And here it is installed: Perfectly centered the first time!!! ![]() |

Offline | Good Post This is exactly the problem I had with my Eisenmann Cat Back in that it wouldn't stay put and was thudding around underneath the car. Eventually the nearside box shifted backwards and was resting on the black bumper trim and merrily melting it away. I was sooooo peeved off with that exhaust as it made a lovely sound. I bought it as I thought German exhaust on a German car = good fit, how wrong was I. Wished I had gone with the Miltek now as they seem a good fit with few probs, however I wasn't going to get bitten twice and fitted a new BMW exhaust back on and a new bumper trim. ![]() |
