I`ve just had the Lohen 210 BHP LCS1 upgrade kit fitted to my facelift 2004 MCS.
Under normal circumstances I wouldnt generally be the type or person to have an aftermarket performance upgrade kit fitted, but I suppose a combination of circumstances came together to make it happen :-

• My car being 30 months old, I was looking for a change
• I`d given the new R56 MCS a test drive
• Total dissappointment of the R56 Performance, Build Quality, & Looks
• Lohen are just up the road from Me
• Its a Christmas Treat

Having initially checked with my insurers {AS Flux} that such a conversion would not be too prohibitive, I went ahead and booked it in.
On arrival at their workshops just outside Eccleshall, I was greeted by the Lohen team & shown around the impessive facilities that they share with what seemed like a team of Race mechanics.

The LCS1 Kit normally consists of :-

• an Alta 15% reduced size supercharger Pulley
• The Superchips Bluefin / Lohen ecu remap
• Reduced supercharger belt
• Denso Iridium spark plugs
• Pipercross Induction kit

As I`d already had the JCW Airbox unit fitted by BMW a couple of years ago, a small discount was given against the redundant pipercross unit.
Good job I`d decided to let Lohen fit it rather than do the dirty work myself, as from my vantage point in the visitors waiting area overlooking the impressive workshop, I could watch the mechanics struggling with the removal of the old Pulley unit.
It was a full 3 hours later, that I was able to have a test drive with Andre.
The extra thrust was apparant from the outset, the car struggling to avoid wheelspin with the Traction switched to Off, even in 3rd gear.
Although, I`m unlikely to ever go on the track with my car, it being used everyday for normal commuting, Its good to know the extra power will enable a safe getout from the normal overtaking dangers.
A word of warning, dont spec the CD or any audio device if you`re thinking of having this done, You`ll only turn it off to listen to the enhanced Supercharger Song.

Glad to hear it went well! I can't recommend Lohen highly enough, the work they did to my car has literally transformed it and they make a cracking cuppa too

Hi Scott, just been reading about your new MCS
The link to the Lohen Packages are all in the First Post by clicking the words "Lohen 210".
But just in case their server is down, it is £495- if it was posted to you, with an extra £180- if you want them to fit it in their workshops - reccomended if you dont like getting your hands dirty struggling with a Pulley puller

Hi there,

Popped my MCSC into Lohen over christmas to have a few cosmetic changes made - absolutely fantastic place and the people are so helpful!

Had a look at this kit but as my car has nearly a full years warranty left (and I do seem to use the warranty on these little blighters quite a bit!) I didn't really want to risk it - will certainly be giving them a ring in the not too distant future though!

Just wondering what sort of effect this had on your insurance if you don't mind me asking?

Hmm, may be slightly more for me as currently i'm paying £1000 for my insurance. Will have to have words.
