This may not be the appropriate place to put this thread but anyhow...

Maybe I'm just stupid, it's probable, but I have bought a 2002 Cooper S and have yet to find where the battery is...

...So, yes, judging by how that sounds, I AM stupid.

I found a terminal but have not found the actual battery (possibly because I haven't looked for it and have absolutely no manual to the car). The terminal looks like it runs UNDER the engine or somewhere near it.

Am I the only one (and it wouldn't surprise me) who does not know where the battery is?
Any help would be appreciated as to letting me know the whereabouts of my battery.

It's in the back of the car, under the mat in the boot (hatchback). Hope this helps, and congrats on your new Mini!
