Scangauge 2

Over the Christmas break I fitted a Scangauge OBDII port reader, see here for more details.

ScanGaugeII - Scan Tool + Digital Gauges + Trip Computers

Fits nicely below the toggle switches and display some useful info + is an error code reader.

Mines currently displaying:

Coolant temp
Air intake temp
Manifold pressure i.e. boost
Ignition timing

GTT, GRS, Janspeed, JCW, OMP + various other bits - 232.6bhp, 191.2lbft on 1320's rolling road

Here we go, not a great picure but gives you an idea.

The gauge can be set to illuminate in different colours (orange, blue, etc) and mounts via velcro.

Do you mind me asking where you purchased yours and how much?
How do you find it? Helpful?

I brought mine direct from the US site (ScanGaugeII - Scan Tool + Digital Gauges + Trip Computers) and it arrived within 4 days.

I paid $169 (US dollars) including shipping.

The US to UK exchange rate is very god at the moment for us :-)

I like gauges and this one was nice and simple to install and does not look out of place.

Did you get charged customs/VAT on your ScanGauge?

Thanks

Nick

Hi Nick

I did not pay customs/VAT; I think they marked it as a sample to avoid :-)

If you e-mail them they are pretty helpful.

Cheers

Neil

Not sure of the exact rules but either way I did not pay any duty :-)

For the money I think its a great piece of kit and you can move it between vehicles.

Thanks Rigsey, really ****ed off with you now, there was i happy that today i had 10 pound in my pocket, that would get me through the day, money for some lunch and maybe a nice capuccino from sarbucks this afternoon. no need to spend any other money.

And then Rigsey posts this up, boom there goes 90 quid........................lol

Just ordered mine, got it off ebay, as the scanguage site says no overseas shipping at present. Cheers for that, will post once i received it, does seem almost too good to be true with those functions and for that price. But hey even if its no good not as expensive as getting proper guages fitted.

Many thanks Rigsey, just what i was after, Cheers ( oh and the above is meant in jest.

Glad I can help

P.S. this thread started in Jan 2007 and was recently restarted.

MINI2 should come with a warning i.e. can seriously damage your wallet.

I thought I'd completed my car but now seriously want a manifold ...
