| 6 sleeps!!!! | Exhaust Help Hi, Can someone please give me some advice. I am new to all this engine modding lark!! I was going to go down the JCW route, but then I read about performance and obviously there is the huge price (which will take me ages to save for) so I thought that I would be best going aftermarket. I thought I would start with the exhaust as I want a nicer sound and a nicer look than the original exhaust on my MCS. Plus I think it will be the ideal addition to test the warranty and TLC at my local dealer as I think an exhaust will not cause any issues and plus will not be noticeable. Anyway I have been looking at Milltek as I think that they have got good reviews etc. But can some please explain about cat backs and manifolds etc as I have no idea!! Sorry for the long post!! Cheers, Vickie ![]() Signature Wanted!! Eagle Eye Vick |

Offline | hello there, ive been on the same boat as you for quite a while, mine is a 06MCS and my TLC and warrenty are yet to be used! so ive been too scared to change my exhaust even though i've been wanting to fit a miltek for friggin ages! to be honest i should and could have got them fitted long time ago, but not done it solely cos of the TLC&warrenty!? They had a very good christmas deal at Lohen, but that offer has finished now, do you know where you're going to get yours from?? anyway best of luck on how this goes and keep us updated! |

Offline | The manifold is the part that is connected to the engine block, then you have the cat (catalytic converter), then the exhaust. This is where the term "cat back" comes from as the part you are replacing is from the cat back(wards). Unless you're planning on big performance increases and heavy modding, forget about the manifold and just get a cat back exhaust. The Milltek is an excellent choice. I hope this clears things up. ![]() |

| 6 sleeps!!!! | I am either going to go direct with Milltek or use one of their approved stockists near me. I haven't looked at prices too much yet as I wanted to get an idea of what I was buying first!! I am worried about the warranty and TLC, but I honestly think they will not notice. Famous last words!!Thanks!!! This really helps!!! I was looking at just the cat back, but just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing out on anything!! I am not going to be looking at heavy modding just getting a bit more power and hopefully I can achieve this without bankrupting myself with the JCW kit. ![]() Signature Wanted!! Eagle Eye Vick |
