Ok i have just seen a 1.2 corsa with a turbo

. Producing IIRC 138bhp? Apparently the kit is cheap and relatively easy to install. Why cant someone do this for the ONE and COOPer...because its definatly something i would do if it was as cheap and easy as the corsa kit. Or has someone done this?

The kit might be cheap but MINI clutches and gearboxes aren't - they probably wouldn't be up to taking the extra power that a Turbo setup would produce.

I could be wrong though!

That was my point- they made such a good kit for such a rubbish car! Why cant someone do this for quality like MINI's

lol....i would really love an S, but when i bought my ONE - they wouldnt even give me an insurance quote for a cooper never mind an S.

Being just 18 and all.

there is a corsa around that runs 300 bhp.
If you chip the mini, and do some other modification you can run up to 110 bhp or probably more.

The corsa i seen was only running 138 bhp - from a 1.2. My car when i finish the remap etc - hopefully around 140 bhp - Pipercross induction kit, cat back milltek system (manifold and decat on the way - remap for my birthday hopefully)

you can run a turbo on the mini cooper s, but would'nt want to push it much more than 150bhp, could even run it with out an intercooler at such low boost. but thats using your own no how and trial fitting it all yourself. anything is possible if you are mechanically minded and it helps to be a dab hand with a welder.

But in all hoesty, why? There is a cooper S there aready that comes with 163/170 bhp and iis good to run 220bhp for only a grand extra. So why bother messing with Turbo's.

Trade in the cooper and go buy a cooper s, more worthwhile long term.
