Smile All wheel drive add on kit, could it be possible?

The MINI is designed with a multi link rear end already. Could BMW or an after market group fit a different transmission, a drive shaft, a differential... ex. to the MINI as an add-on kit? I am just curious if others have thought about this as a possibility.

Rear wheel drive has been done, so it's not impossible. Just a lot of work I guess...

Maybe a liquid all weel drive like on the 911? Just fluid pressure providing the rear end...
