Offline | jcw injectors and remap necessary hi to all, i was wondering if any of you guys can shed some light on a concern i have i have a 2004 mini s with the following mods: Alta 15%pulley Alta induction kit ngk iridium spark plugs ecu by a reputable company and sponsors of mini2. i recently installed the jcw 380cc injectors. the reason for doing so is that a few engines here in Greece have blown due to lack of fuel up high. in other words they were running lean with the known devastating results. i must admit that after installing the injectors the car feels more alive and pulls away alot smoother than before. i don't know whether this is due to the new injectors or because the old ones were dirty. bear in mind the previous stock injectors had done 60000 km. the car seems to be working fine but i am not sure if the ecu needs to be re-mapped to accommodate for the new injectors. the ecu has been programmed to accommodate for the Alta intake and the extra airflow along with the pulley of course. will i cause any trouble to the engine having installed the larger injectors or will it be fine? any advice will be much appreciated thanks in advance cheers from Athens ![]() GEORGE |

Offline | Ive had maps specifically scaled for the 380cc injectors ,and still find the stock injector map (but with the 380cc injectors) preferable for power & smoothness. Measured A/F ratio at WOT is practically identical except above 6-6.5K revs, where the 380's dont start to lean off. -a good mod Best Regards Roland GTT ![]() |

Offline | the jcw injectors cost me 360 euro and they are east to install. thanks roland and the rest for the replies. the car runs smoother now and there is a slight difference at high revs . overall i feel more confident now and not so worried that the car will run lean at high revs. of course its not wise to thrash it constanlly but once in a while its good.... it keeps exhaust clean as well.... if you know what i mean...
