MCS seems down on power

did a 450 mile roundtrip up to Derby and back today. But the car felt a little sluggish.

Not sure if its just me being used to it now, but it just did'nt seem to have the oooomph it once did. Also noticed a worrying sound when acclerating. When i acclerate ina high gear say 5th or 6th it sounds like there is gas escaping from the front of the car. I am wondering if the exhaust is blowing from the Manifold. I know when my manifold was fitted the original gasket was used as BMW had supplied me the inlet gasket by mistake. Jut paranoid now that this has given way and the manifold is letting gasses past on accleration. If so would this affect the performance of the car and make it a little sluggish.

its strange, but i was'nt canining it at all today , i even managed to get 370 miles to the tank!!

She is due a service too in 2 weeks time, so oil is crap etc. May just get GTT to give her a full going over when they do the 220 conversion.

Sounds like you have a leak in the compressor somewhere?

If it wasn't for the sound I'd say check your compressor bypass valve. Mine was broken and didn't close on full throttle. Instead of building up pressure it lost pressure above 4500 rpm!
