Offline | Blimey, pricey. Main thing is you're happy with it, and I'm extremely jealous! ![]() I totted it all up and came to ~1.6k. I was wondering, with all these changes (especially the crank pulley, intercooler, manifold) your car must benefit from an ecu remap? The JCW map is conservatve, and so surely you can some more out of it by having it remapped on a RR? I know GTT offer remaping, but I'm assuming they're off-the-shelf custom made maps for specific specced motors. What do you think? Or anyone else for that matter? Cheers Gav |

| The Power Cube | I believe that the JCW mapping is tolerant of upgrades to a certain extent. But yes, it sounds like at significant upgrade package so would expect it to have required a new mapping. Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

Offline | But do people get their mini remapped on a RR, or do they always go for an off the shelf map like the GTT one? I mean if you pick and choose different upgraded parts, surely the only way is to get it remapped by a RR specialist? I'm just checking as I'd like to also get some upgrades, but am thinking a remap would be required, but I'm not sure whats the best approach of doing this is, i.e. get it mapped on a RR session or buy an off the shelf one that best suits it. Cheers Gav |

| The Power Cube | Yes, indeed. Well the best approach to mapping a car is always to do it via a RR assuming it is unbiased and you are in full control and it's run by experts. Expensive or not, i don't know. However, the GTT maps are from MTH and are predefined to match the mixture of modifications that are applied to your car. But i fully agree with you, even with predetermined upgrade parts and a generic MTH map to match, i'm sure there are always small deviances in any car that require an individual mapping to take place for that ultimate ECU control. And i can only see this being acheived via RR analysis, or similar, perhaps an OBDii relay to your laptop (i have one of these) I'd be interested to hear Rolands comment on this.....
